Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an interesting background to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the border from nearby Thailand, where gambling hall gambling is not legal. Eight casinos are established in a generally small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling dens is in a perfect spot, a three to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very couple of Westerners. The phenomenal income gained from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of limitations requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; however, investment sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are supposedly needed to cross, there are methods around this, as is accurate of many borders.
The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored boat casino, contains one hundred and fifty slots and 60 gaming tables. The Naga casino is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, 4 tables of chemin de fer, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. A total of 150 slots and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machine games and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including 87 baccarat banque (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the common gaming tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel complex that features a number of comforts aside from the gambling hall, which offers ten thousand square feet of 130 slots and 88 table games.
