Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the border from neighboring Thailand, where gambling hall gambling is not permitted. Eight casinos are situated in a relatively small location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling dens is in a prime spot, a three to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The astonishing capital accrued from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of controls constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; however, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 1700, and even though visas are apparently required to pass, there are means around this, as is true of many borders.
The original Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked barge casino, highlights 150 slots and 60 tables. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of 21, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The first casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. A total of one hundred and fifty slots and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 slots and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slots and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and sixty six of the familiar gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational vacation and hotel complex that highlights a number of amenities on top of the gambling hall, which houses ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slots and 88 table games.
